The driest and most popular months are June, July, August, September and October – expect blue skies and fewer mosquitoes. Not every day, but March marks the start of the long rains. Expect heavy showers most afternoons, often clearing quickly. The humidity rises, but there are still plenty of sunny mornings for sightseeing.
